Patti has worked in many aspects of nutrition and dietetics including inpatient, outpatient, research, cardiac rehab, sports nutrition, teaching in-person and online, and volunteering for the SCAN (now SHPN) dpg, the Academy, and MTAND. As a member of the Public Policy Committee, Patti is the Consumer Protection Coordinator and is focused on advocacy for the Farm Bill, MNT Act, state licensure, and the dietitian licensure compact.

She backpacked four days with friends In Yellowstone Bechler Canyon, especially enjoying swimming in the Mr. Bubbles hot springs pool.
